Lara Berroth - Short Bio
I have been working as a student assistant at the Leibniz University Hannover since 2016. In the winter terms 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 I was tutoring freshmen, accompanying the lecture “Introduction to Sociology” by Prof. Dr. Mathias Bös. During the summer term 2017 I worked as a student assistant for the seminar “Qualitative Social Research” by Dr. Ina Rust. Currently I am a student assistant at the chair “Sociology of Education” since the summer term 2018.
I studied “Social Sciences” at the Leibniz University Hannover from 2015-2018 and received my bachelor´s degree in August 2018 with distinction. Within the scope of my bachelor´s thesis I explored social inequalities in the admission to and trajectories in higher education. At present I am studying in the master´s course “Science and Society” at the Leibniz University Hannover.
My research interests are educational sociology (especially tertiary education), quantitative social research and sociological theory.
