Project results:

Socially disadvantaged children and youth often suffer from being overweight and obese. Despite the diverse efforts of, among others, medical insurance companies and consumer organizations to encourage children and youth from socially disadvantaged families to maintain a healthy diet, these efforts continue to be ineffective. The goal of the project was to improve obesity prevention among the target groups of 12- to 16-year-old girls and boys living in underprivileged circumstances.
